Young Zeus

Moody, irritable with superabundant virility and insatiable sexual appetite, the leader of the Dodecatheon is perhaps most known for spending most of his time either mating -or trying to figure out a way to mate- with whoever attractive he happened to cross paths with.

His lecherous disposition and constant unfaithfulness caused his wife Hera endless distress and frustration.

Even when the delightful Danae was shut into an underground prison-to prevent any man from mating with her- Zeus managed to slide in and impregnate her in the form of golden light.

But the transformations were also a necessity because his true form could not be endured by mortal senses. Another maiden, Semele (also impregnated by him) pleaded to see Zeus in his pure state; her pupils evaporated from extreme brightness, her eardrums burst from the booming sound of ceaseless thunder and eventually the conditions were so extreme that her whole body was ripped apart.

This is how powerful Zeus really was.
